Hi,
Wallabies can be raised in a home with a dog, given the dog is well controlled and is not an aggressive, predator type. So a dog that won't chase the wallaby may wind up being fine. If the dog takes to chasing the wallaby, the result will probalby be a wallaby funeral. Sometimes, we have a really bossy wallaby who will pick on our poor Doberman "Caesar." Once the wallaby is placed outside, you could not let the dog run loose with it or typically not even in the yard with the wallaby's enclosure. A dog chasing your wallaby, even from outside the wallaby's enclosure, can be devestating if the wallaby can not completely and quickly get away from the dog. It is very difficult to change the result of getting predators and prey animals in the same general area and we are comfortable that it works in the house with our dog, but even one run at the fence with the roos could result in a roo running headlong into a fence from fright and the ensuing panic.
